		<description>Thanks Lisa, I agree with you on the clothing, seasonal stuff can be tricky. Sorry about your mom. It&#039;s nice that she let you get rid of stuff before she passed away. Some elderly people wouldn&#039;t allow that.  

Yes the emotional is pehaps much harder! The person who has mastered the emotional is a person who can really enjoy life.</description>

I have learned to let go of physical &#039;stuff&#039; through frequent moving and I wholeheartedly agree with your six-month rule (except clothing, there I use a one year rule to cover seasonal changes). As my mother grew older, she sold her house and moved into a smaller condo. At that time we cleared her life of all unnecessary &#039;stuff&#039;. She felt much better for it and when she passed away we weren&#039;t faced with piles of things to give or throw away.
Life with minimal possessions is clean, clear and easy.

Letting go of emotional &#039;stuff&#039; is a bit harder, but just as satisfying, if not more.</description>
