Marriage Help
I took a hiatus from writing for a while because all I ever seem to get is spammers putting their junk comments on my blog. It makes me wonder sometimes if anything I’ve written has helped anyone. When I stopped to reflect on this I realized that if just one person is helped by reading something I’ve written then my articles are a success. So I decided to continue to write with the thought in mind that there is at least one person out there who has been helped by what I’ve written.
A few days ago I was talking to a gentleman who I have known for a while, and he made the comment that after he and his wife had their first child she was no longer into having sex on a regular basis. I was shocked at first, and told him that if a wife withholds sex from the man he is going to go elsewhere to get his need met. I probably should not have said that, heaven forbid that something I said would cause a person to cheat on his wife. So I decided to come up with solutions to this dilemma.
There are two sides to every story and there is a good possibility that she may have good reason to withhold. I don’t know since I do not know this woman very well. So let me lay out some scenarios that could be a reason for this. 1) Perhaps she’s worn out with all the work she has in taking care of the home and a young child (the child is around 3 years old). 2) The guy isn’t very romantic. Every guy that has a satisfied wife knows that a woman needs romance. 3) It doesn’t matter what he does, she’s just not into it anymore.
Let’s address the first scenario. She’s worn out with all the work she has in taking care of the home and a young child. Men the job of being a house wife and a stay at home mom, or a working mom, is perhaps the hardest job in the world. Especially with a young child, let alone a mom who has multiple children. When a child needs something in the middle of the night, who takes care of it? The Mom, the mom usually handles all the late night child issues. During the day she has all the household chores, laundry, cleaning, plus she’s watching the children , and if little pee wee doesn’t nap mom doesn’t get a break. If she’s a working mom she has worked just as hard as you but now she’s expected to cook and clean up, and then take care of the children. Plus she’s preparing all the meals. By the end of the day she is dead tired and wants nothing do with sex.
What’s a guy who loves sex need to do to help take the load off of his wife so he can get what he wants? There’s an old saying, “sex begins at the kitchen table.” My translation of this is, help with things around the house, and thank her for all the hard work she does. Do the dishes tell her to take a break while you, clean up. Take care of pee wee for a while so she can have some her time. You will get more accomplished by being attentive to her needs, than if you only consider what you need.
The next problem is the guy has forgotten the romance that every woman needs. Perhaps you guys should watch some good chick flicks with your wife or girl friend. I know I’ve shared this before in another post but women are into relationships. My wife loves movies where there is romance and character development. We watched a movie together last night called Something New. This is a movie about black woman and a white male that fall in love, but have to deal with our society and the different prejudices put upon them by it. The male lead in this movie knows how to spark her fire and romance her. There’s a chemistry between them that makes the time they spend together hot. Whenever my wife watches this movie she comments on how she likes the way the man works with the woman to develop the hot passionate love that they have. Guys it’s up to you to light her fire.
Romance is a great key to developing the hot sex you men desire with your wife or girl friend. If you’re not getting any then maybe you’re not putting any effort into the romance part of life. If you romance her she will be more willing to put out when you are horny and just want some straight up sex.
She is just not into it anymore.
This is perhaps the hardest one to solve. If she’s just not into it anymore there could be any number of reasons why. Marriage is all about give and take. It’s about open and honest communication. Guys you need to initiate the conversation to find out what happened. Most women who really love their man will do anything to help satisfy his need. Perhaps you need to start feeding her oysters, or some form of stimulant that helps to get the love juices flowing. There are plenty of sexual stimulants for women out there just make sure you do some research.
A solution will not be found without opening the lines of communication. Maybe you can print this article and show it to her if you’re not comfortable initiating a conversation on this topic! Any way you look at it, sitting around and doing nothing will not solve your sexual dilemma. Go talk to her right now! If she’s just not into it there may be more in your relationship that needs to be resolved. Men you need to make yourself desirable to her. If you are greatly over weight and you are not taking care of yourself in the physical category then perhaps you need to join a health and fitness club. Make yourself more attractive to her. My wife and I work hard at keeping ourselves in fairly decent shape. Neither one of us has six pack abs, but we have worked at staying slender and attractive to each other. How you dress is also important. If you are sloppy or dirty in your personal habits why would your girl be interest in having sex with you? Perhaps you could go to counseling to make your love life better. The point is, it will take an effort on the part of both individuals to solve this issue. In the long run both the husband and wife will be blessed by putting their heart, and effort into keeping their marraige sweet, and making their sex life exciting.
Life’s Victories Carnival

When I came up with the idea to do a Carnival on this topic, my vision was of people telling their own personal stories of Victory in overcoming life’s challenges. I find mostly what people send, when you do these carnivals is your standard run of the mill self improvement information. There’s about a million or more self improvement writers and just about every one puts out the same type of article and information at one time or another. You don’t find many that write a story or tale about their life that includes a lesson learned. Now I’m not criticizing people who write these type of self improvement articles because I have written many articles like this myself. I’m only pointing out what I asked for. In truth for the most part what I asked for and what I got are two different things. Below are the blog posts that I felt most closely met the Carnival criteria.
Seth C. Burgess presents Mayor Peter Blandino of Newark | Wayne County Life posted at Wayne County Life.
Zhu presents I made It | Correr Es Mi Destino posted at Correr Es Mi Destino.
Jackie Powell presents Honest Fear posted at eskyoo.
Dimes2Vines presents When Our Grapes Come In posted at Dimes2Vines.
Tod presents Balancing Between Success and Failure posted at A Blog by Tod.
Sarah Clark presents Sarah…Phenomenally: Stepping into the phenomenal life. posted at Sarah…Phenomenally.
I included two articles I wrote in this Carnival that truly meet the criteria those article areLife’s Twists and Let Go You can Scale the Cliffs.
Until the next time keep growing and improving.
Global Warming
I wonder if Al Gore is concerned about the current Global cooling trend. He may have to campaign to get money for the government on the global cooling agenda now. After all, now there is a need to do research on why the Earth is cooler. Will he end up agreeing with most of the scientists who say that the Earth goes thr…ough warming and cooling cycles? No, that couldn’t happen there’s no money in agreeing with them.
God’s Love Energizes Believing
January 10, 2010 by Rick

Something got me going on this topic again. I don’t know what it is, but I feel that this is perhaps the most important topic a Christian can study. If a Christian learns to walk in God’s love, his life is changed. God’s love gives wings to life. His love sets a man free.
Recently I saw a verse in Galatians that got me thinking.
Galatians 5: 6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
The word faith here comes from the Greek word pistis- which means believing in this context.
The word worketh is the Greek word energeō which means- to put forth power, be at work, to be operative. Our English word energize or energized comes from this word energeō. ENERGIZED I like this word.
Love is the Greek word agapē- which is God’s Love.
Let’s put this in simple terms, believing is energized by God’s Love. If our believing is energized by God’s love, then isn’t this the most important topic a Christian could focus on? All of life is based on believing. We are either believing positively or negatively in our daily life. When you walk in God’s love your believing is energized and brings about positive result.
1 Corinthians13: 1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
The word charity in this chapter is the word agapē.
Agapē-
can only be manifested by a person who has received the gift of holy spirit from God. This chapter deals with works that born again believers can do. With out God’s love all those works are nothing. Spending time in God’s Word and learning HOW to walk in His love is the most important thing a person can do in life.
Recently I read something that peaked my interest in learning more about this topic. The writer mentioned that an atheist could partake in the divine love. In truth an atheist can receive the divine love via God’s Word, but an atheist could never manifest God’s love. An atheist does not have the spirit God gives to the person who believes Romans 10:9&10. An atheist is strictly a body, soul person who cannot know God. Though God’s divine love is available to the atheist via His Word a true atheist rejects what God says in his Word. Therefore an atheist could never manifest God’s love. Only a Christian believer can manifest God’s love.
Ephesians3: 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
In God’s love (agapē
) you can comprehend the breadth, length, depth and height and be filled with all the Fulness of God. It’s in walking in love that the greatness of God’s Word will truly come to light for you. That love passes knowledge. Remember, knowledge puffeth up. Without the love that God makes available that person is a sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.
Look at how much God loved us. He allowed his only begotten son to be put to death so that we could be saved. Could you give up your son or daughter so that the world could be saved? God is the biggest giver I know. He is the largest supplier of love in the world.
John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So we know how much God loved us. We can see by the Word what Love is not, and we can see by the Word what it is, and what it does it does for us.
Here is a list of the things that the love of God is not.
1. A sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal
2. Nothing
3. It envieth not
4. Vaunteth not itself
5. Is not puffed up
6. Does not behave itself unseemly
7. Is not easily provoked
8. Thinketh no evil
9. Rejoiceth not in iniquity.
God’s Love:
1. Suffereth Long
2. Is Kind
3. Rejoiceth in truth.
4. Beareth all things
5. Believeth all things
6. Hopeth all things
7. Endureth all things
8. Never Fails
Since this post could exceed over 10,000 words or more with the depth of this topic. I’m going to write in sections. This article is designed to get you thinking about God’s love and working God’s Word and researching it yourself. In my next article I’ll be writing about how to walk in God’s Love.
The Truth about God, and the Chris Henry Tragedy
December 20, 2009 by Rick
It always hurts my heart when a person dies, whether it is prematurely or at an advanced age. Death is no friend. When the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, Chris Henry was the victim of a tragic accident this week I was naturally shocked to hear of his death at such a young age. I was even more hurt to hear the one true God get blamed for the killing. It seems to happen quite regularly. A person dies and a person of prominence declares that God was involved. This time Chad Ochocinco made the comment, here’s what he said.
“Chris was a very good, very good friend of mine. We were extremely close. It’s sad to see that it’s come to this point. He was doing everything right. He’s been doing everything right. My grandma always says you never really question the man upstairs on decisions he makes because he never makes mistakes, but … (holding back tears) I don’t see how Chris was supposed to go already. Especially when you’re on the right path.”
Now I don’t fault Chad Ochocinco for making this statement. He is really saddened at the loss of his friend. A person can only speak from his own understanding, and he can only speak from what he has been taught. The man upstairs thankfully is not the one to blame for the loss of his friend. So let’s see if we can straighten this out and determine where the blame really lies.
God in his Word has some great verses that will help to clarify where the fault truly lies.
Hebrews 2:14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Here we have a verse that makes it quite clear who had the power of death. (The reason why it says had is because death is defeated in Jesus Christ. This does not mean that people are going to stop dying. It means that those who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in their heart that God has raised him from the dead will be saved (have eternal life). Until the return of Christ, the gathering together, the resurrection of the dead, and the judgements, the devil is still killing people.
John 10:10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
It says the thief (which is to say the devil) comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus Christ came that we might have life more abundantly. These two verses that I have shared totally contradict the thought process that God kills or takes people for his purposes.
1 John: 1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our f ellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
God’s desire is to have fellowship with man. He wants man’s joy to be full. If there is no darkness in God at all, then I don’t think that he is taking people who are on the right path.
Over the next number of weeks let’s all pray for Chris Henry’s fiance, family and friends.
Finally God’s desire is that ones joy is full. It seems to me that a God who wants your joy to be full would be falling far short of that mark by killing. In truth isn’t God all Love.
1 John 1: 7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
God clearly love us and wants us to love Him and one another. Let’s never forget how much God really love us. He is always there to care for our every need.
Let Go, Making Love Last
November 30, 2009 by Rick

How do people do it? They make commitments for life, but only keep them for a few months or years. I don’t see where the wedding vows say until divorce do you part. It’s death do you part, and I haven’t seen
where any people have died during divorce. Although some people probably wouldn’t mind their spouse dying during the process. Why don’t people let go and make love last?
My wife has had the disney movie Enchanted playing in our house over the past few weeks. There is a song in the movie called That’s How You Know, that I find interesting. I know it’s a movie but the lyrics make some points that could help make love last.
Here are some of those tips.
1. Leave her notes to tell her she is on your mind.
2. Send flowers when the sky is gray.
3. Find a new way to show her everyday.
4. Each day do something to need her.
5. Find Little things to do for her to bless her.
I love these little tips. Yeah they are from a movie, not a professional marriage counselor who is trained in helping people but, if you look at relationships and the courting process you will realize that these are all things that men usually do before they get married. It’s once a couple is married that these tend to fall off.
The key to keeping your relationship sweet is to keep these things going after you are married. After kids have arrived, after you’ve been married for a few years, and after the initial romance of newly weds is through.
Love is work, relationships are work, it just depends on how willing people are to make their lives together a loving life where the couple continues to care for each other. It’s the little things we do for each other that will make that relationship stay sweet.
When I was single it was all about me. When I got married it became all about us. When kids came along it became us and the kids. There’s plenty to do when you’re taking care of so many people. So a couple needs to prioritize what is most important. Kids are not first, you didn’t marry them. Your relationship needs to remain first. It’s the little things that you do for each other that will keep your marriage sweet.
Ladies your man needs repect. If he is loving you the way every man should then, your respect is absolutely necessary. If a man is loving a woman, but doesn’t get back that repect, he will soon grow weary of doing his part in the relationship. Respect and love require communication! Without communication it is impossible for a couple to stay sweet on each other. In some ways I think that there are to many distractions for people to stay sweet on each other. When I was child there were no cell phones, there was no internet, television did not have five or six hundred channels. Maybe it’s time to turn the TV off, shut your cell phone down, and unplug the internet for a night. Now stare into each others eyes and share how much you love and respect each other.
I noticed that one of the tips on the list is find a new way to show her every day. Guy’s do something totally unexpected and different become unpredictible in your methods of loving her. You will keep her guessing whats next, and bring an excitement to the relationship that will truly help to make love last.
So let go and make your love last. You will find that, it’s worth it.
God, and the Origins of the U.S. Thanksgiving
November 22, 2009 by Rick
Filed under Lifes Victories, Positive Thoughts, Self Development
It’s interesting to consider the origins of Thanksgiving in the United States, especially in light of the push by some groups to eliminate any association between the one true God and the Government. The seperation of church and state was not something our founding fathers desired. In fact George Washington made the following proclamation concerning the day we celebrate each year in November.
WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLICK THANSGIVING and PRAYER, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”
NOW THEREFORE, I do recommend and assign THURSDAY, the TWENTY-SIXTH DAY of NOVEMBER next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed;– for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enabled to establish Constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted;– for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge;– and, in general, for all the great and various favours which He has been pleased to confer upon us.
And also, that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions;– to enable us all, whether in publick or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us); and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.
GIVEN under my hand, at the city of New-York, the third day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine.
(signed) G. Washington
Perhaps the government we have today needs to take a look at this proclamation and consider returning our country to the Godly foundation our nation was originally built upon. The fact that we are now a nation that is violating the Word of God on a regular basis it seems logical to me that we should return to the solid rock our nation originally believed in.We need a united Government on this subject not a divided government. It is essential to go back to what our money says on each coin and bill, IN GOD WE TRUST.
Thanksgiving was founded upon acknowledging the providence of the Almighty God . It was orginally set up for us to offer our prayers and supplications (specific requests) to God in thanksgiving for his kind care and protection of this country and it’s people. It seems to me our nation needs this foundation more than ever. It is the one true God that prospers each individual as he believes God, and that same God will make a nation abundant in prosperity when that nation makes the Almighty the foundation of its beliefs.
“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will , to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.” Our founding president and our forefathers knew what was right. Thanksgiving is not just a day it is a day to day lifestyle. As you celebrate this Thanksgiving, go to God in prayer, and supplication with believing. God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Those who seek God in believing prayer will prosper in any economy. His abundance it ours to claim!!!
Let Go, 2012 Is not the End
November 21, 2009 by Rick
The world is getting all hyped up on the prophecy that the end of the world is coming in 2012. I’ve been asked by several people if I think that this will happen. The only way I can think of to answer, is to go to the Word of God and let it speak.
In the book of Acts before Jesus Christ ascended the disciples were pressing him to know when the kingdom would be returned to Israel. He made an interesting statement. Here’s what he said:
Acts 1:6When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Jesus Christ told his disciples that it is not for you to know the times and seasons which the Lord has in his power. Note it says that the times and the seasons are in God’s power. This of course is not talking of the end of the world as we know it. However Jesus Christ told his faithful follower that it is not for them to know the times or the seasons which the Lord has in his power.
There is even more information in 1 Thessalonians 5 1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
See if the day of the Lord is going to come as a thief in the night then the unbelievers of the world are not going to know about it before hand. Here’s my take on the end of the world predictions. If someone tells you that the end is going to come on a certain date in a certain year at a certain time, you are guaranteed that it will not happen then. No one knows the day time or hour that the Lord has put in His power.
The key is to get born again of the spirit of God (Romans 10:9-10) and put on believing and love. We are not to be asleep spiritually but sober and vigilant in seeking God. Those who are living God’s Word will be ready when the day of the Lord comes. Folks we are not appointed to wrath, but to salvation by one Jesus Christ. So live love and enjoy doing it. God’s abundant blessing are coming your way as you believe His Word.
We don’t live in fear of the future but we look forward to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now that’s a great way to live and think.

Let Go, You can Scale the Cliffs

It was crystal clear autumn day as we headed into the woods. We had plans to cook hot dogs over an open flame before hiking for a few hours in the back woods of Groveland. The air was light and breezy as we prepared the area to start a fire. Finding dead dry wood was an easy task in a woods that does not get many visitors. When the last log was placed in the fire pit, we began igniting the twigs and kindling we had gathered. The smell of wood burning soon filled the air as the flames grew higher and hotter. For some reason there’s nothing like cooking hot dogs over an open flame in the woods. The smell of food cooking when you’re camping out is just awesome.
As we packed our cooking utensils and extinguished the fire, thoughts of hiking now filled my head. As a young child I always enjoyed camping with my family because we often would go hiking. Hiking has a way of helping to clear my head. There is something about being in the woods on a sunny day that is very relaxing. Many times when I’m off walking by myself I come up with ideas that turn out to be great ideas.
With the fire out and the walking now begun we made our way down the ridge into the ravine. A stream gently made it’s way through the valley softly heading towards the Genesee river. Birds chirped and sang, and squirrels scurried through the forest searching for nuts as we turned and headed up stream. There’s nothing like being with friends, laughing and talking as you stroll along in the woods. The thought of being able to pick up a rock and throw it as hard as you want at whatever you want in any direction is just awesome (I guess that’s the little kid in me). When you’re hiking in the woods how can you not throw a rock at something. It’s the challenge of hitting a certain spot on a tree, or knocking a can off of a log. It’s so cool to stay light hearted in life.
After strolling upstream for a ways we came to cliff walls on all three sides. Now we could have turned around and headed back to where we came from but everyone likes a challenge. So we started looking for the best place to scale the cliff. We steadily made our way up the steep slope until we came to a place where a rock formation prevented us from climbing any further. We were stuck. We were quite ways up the slope, perhaps twenty feet from the top. Going down the way we came was not something we really wanted to do. It was getting towards sunset and the thought of making our way back the way we came was not a pleasant thought. Looking over to the left the rocks made thoughts of moving over that way to climb, quickly leave out thinking. To the right there was what looked to be loose gravel which gave us thoughts of tumbling to the valley below. Sitting just below the rocks we discussed what we should do. After what seemed like twenty long minutes of talk, I boldly proclaimed ” I will go out on the gravel and make my way to the top, if I slide down into the gorge you guy’s will know to go back the way we came.” As I gingerly stepped out onto the loose grave I recognized that the footing was solid, and the climb to the top was going to be easy. I quickly scurried to the top and called out to my friends, “It’s safe come on up.”
Sometimes scaling the cliffs of life can have it’s obstacles, and fear of the unknown can set in. Those that make it to the top are the ones who stay persistent at overcoming the obstructions. They Let Go of their inhibitions and fears, and go outside of their comfort zone to make the climb . Of the great men who have made it to the top, most will tell you that it wasn’t easy. The key is, they kept their eyes on the goal until they made it. You and I can Scale the Cliffs of Life if we don’t quit until we make it.
So Let Go, You CAN Scale the Cliffs of Life.
